Cannes Film Festival 2013 Red Carpet - Best Dressed
Oh Cannes. Your red carpet is always a thing of beauty. The envy of all other red carpets, you display the kind of unadulterated glamour that we all aspire too. And for some weird alternate-world reason, Eva Longoria is nearly always one of the best dressed, despite not actually being in any of the films at the festival.
Last year Eva Longoria, Diane Kruger and Fan Bingbing all looked incredible, but this year Carey Mulligan and Marion Cotillard are battling it out for best dressed at Cannes. Marion Cotillard has opted for Dior (as many people have for the Cannes red carpet), but Carey Mulligan has been wowing on the red carpet and at day time photo calls with a sleek, glossy and devilishly tailored style.
While black and white has been seen all over the red carpet at Cannes this year, there have been two other polar opposite trends that most people have been rocking. The necklines have been fiendishly low, as seen on Cara Delevingne and Carey Mulligan, or primly high (often with a very low back), as seen on Jessica Chastain and Eva Longoria. Jewels is the other trend that has been completely embraced or stripped back entirely. While Cara wore £1 million worth of jewels, and Jessica Chastain wore Elizabeth Taylor's priceless jewels on the red carpet (me, jealous? Don't be silly!), others like Jennifer Lawrence and Carey Mulligan have shunned the baubles.
Who was your best dressed at Cannes 2012?

Summer Style with TK Maxx
Remember that big ball of fire in the sky? I think it's called 'the sun' and it's back (kind of). After a Game Of Thrones style winter, the warmer weather has made an appearance (on and off) and it's time to start thinking about our summer wardrobe and holiday suitcase essentials.
Instead of digging out those well-worn summer dresses why not have a clear out and get some new threads for summer? While traipsing round the highstreet for a summer dress I was contacted by TK Maxx and asked if I'd like to review their dresses. Obviously being a dress addict I agreed immediately and started browsing tkmaxx.com.
The mix of dresses is fantastic. From high end designer gowns perfect for summer weddings to party-tastic dresses, there are loads to choose from. I went for this black cotton summer dress with red embroidery which will be perfect for Sundays in the park, picnics and trips to the beach. All this is obviously dependant to the great British summer, so I held this photo shoot in Thailand to guarantee the sunshine. That's also the reason I've been a bit quite recently - sorry about that! But a after a blissed out 2 weeks on a beach in Thailand I'm ready to get back to the blog.
Have you found a style gem at TK Maxx?

Always On My Case!
What's the one thing you have on you all day, everyday, but rarely think of truly matching it to your style? Your phone! So when caseable contacted me about reviewing one of their hand-crafted cases for laptops, iPads, Kindles and phones - all made from recycled materials in Brookyln, NY - I said yes straight away!
You can completely customize your own case for any of your gadgets: choose from absolutely loads of style and colour combinations on their site, www.caseable.com, including artist collaborations or upload your very own image to create the perfect cover. Then you can add text or design tools to get a couture fit for your any of your gadgets.
I obviously chose a picture of a glitter ball as my iPhone cover (what else?!), and it was no-brain-easy to create and arrived really quickly. This would be a fab present for the person who has everything or a gadget lover, so why not pimp your gadgets with your face, a glitter ball or a funny picture of a cat wearing sunglasses? Just some suggestions!
What would you put on your case? The lovely people at caseable have also given me a 15% off code for all of you if you fancy creating your own case. Just enter carina15 at the checkout (valid until 8th May).

Australia Fashion Week Summer 2013: Street Style
Australia Fashion Week is fast becoming a must-watch event in the global fashion week schedule. As the likes of Vogue, Harper's Bazaar and seriously stylish bloggers sit up and take note of the established and emerging Australian design talent, they're also lapping up the amazing street style on show at Australia Fashion Week Summer 2013.
Last year Beach Tomato Editor, Kirsty Hathaway, headed down under and reviewed MBFWA for Carina100 and got me hooked on Australian street style. This year I've been keeping an eye on the latest looks from outside the coolest shows (from London sadly, not Australia) and have fallen pretty hard for the couture meets streetwear/beachwear approach that the Australian style pack have been showcasing.
The global trends for summer, like monochrome, bold stripes (see how I'm wearing bold stripes), head to toe colour and de-constructed tailoring, are all here but mixed up with beach hair, sporty accessories, killer sunglasses and a seriously laid back vibe.
What's your favourite look? I'm loving the bold stripes!
