Embrace your vibrant side with eXtreme’n easy

There's nothing like changing your hair colour to make you feel like a new person, mark a big change in your life or to make a serious style statement. After attending the eXtreme’n easy by nice'n easy launch dinner this week, where they talked us through the lasted trends and developments in at home hair colouring, I was left wondering what hair colour I should go next!

The trend for bold and bright hair shades isn't going anywhere, and after spotting the increasingly popular bright red hair trend in 2010, it seems this hair trend is here to stay. If you're you want to make a statement with your hair, were wondering how to achieve a deep flame red like Florence Welch, a fiery red like Christina Hendricks or a dramatic violet shade, then eXtreme’n easy might just be for you. Creating a rich and vibrant shade at home that will last for 6-8 weeks without fading is always the ideal, and this colour promises to deliver.

To go with the new hair colours was Herbal Essences 'Ignite My Colour', designed to protect the vibrancy of your shade, and Max Factor Flipsicks, which allow you to blend and highlight your own tailored made colour, creating a 3D colour effect (I loved these!).

I'm very tempted to try out one of the red shades, as modelled on the night, but with so many shades, from violet, reds and even a blonde shade, which will launch in June, it's difficult to pick just one! So, what colour should I try?

Olivia Rubin for Dorothy Perkins

Designer collaborations are now a constant fixture on the high street, and the hotly tipped Olivia Rubin for Dorothy Perkins collection launched in-store and online today.

The collection, entitled 'Postcards From', contains Olivia's famed graphic prints and tropical bird motifs and holiday-themed shells in every imaginable shade of pink. The collection is also very reasonable, with prices starting at £25, and nothing over £50, so there's even more incentive to invest in a piece (or 3!).

Sadly I couldn't make the press launch, but I really do love the beautiful pieces, which have spring style and wedding outfit written all over them! Here are a few of my favourites.

Festival Fashion from Coachella 2012

I'm always uber jealous of the Coachella festival goers. Who doesn't long for the A-list festival, Californian sunshine and too-cool-for-school line-up?! Not only is Coachella famous for it's stellar line-up, but it's just as famous for it's celeb turnout and fashions. With fashion parties from the likes of Armani and Mulberry and heavy-weight A-listers, Coachella is the street style catwalk of the festival world.

To sum up the main trends from Coachella I have one thing to say - the 90s are back! Rihanna and Katy Perry looked like they'd stepped out of a 90s grunge pop band. Creepers, bomber jackets, maxi length waist coats, tassels and sheer layers were the key items to be seen in. So if you're heading to a festival this summer, don't forget to 90s it up. Or if you want to be like the official Coachella couple, Diane Kruger and Joshua Jackson, why not try matching stripes (too cute!).

Jean Paul Gaultier for Diet Coke - 'Night & Day'

Diet Coke is now synonymous with fashion and style, and they've collaborated with another renowned designer for 2012. Jean Paul Gaultier has been appointed as the new Diet Coke Creative Director for 2012. To mark the start of his new role with the brand, Jean Paul Gaultier has designed a limited-edition collection of bottles, in his trademark style.

At the exclusive London launch at the 5th floor bar at Harvey Nichols, industry icon and friend of Jean Paul Gaultier, Hilary Alexander, hosted the event and introduced us to the stylish new bottles. The collection themed ‘Night & Day’, pays homage to Gaultier’s infamous designs. Combining his signature style of corsetry and Breton stripes, the bottles are instantly recognisable and celebrate the female form. In keeping with the female form celebratory theme, we were treated to all things feminine on the night, with lace eyelashes, glitter tattoos and a burlesque dancer.

To complete the Jean Paul Gaultier for Diet Coke collection, a third limited-edition bottle is to be launched later in the year. Inspired by Jean Paul Gaultier's love of body art, the exclusive ‘Tattoo’ bottle will be introduced to complement the ‘Night & Day’ bottles - but you'll have to wait, it won't be added to the collection until later this year.

The ‘Night & Day’ bottles are available from Harvey Nichols stores nationwide from 16th April 2012.

9th Annual Spring Dinner Dance New Year's in April: A Fool's Fete - Red Carpet

Crystal Renn made sure she was the centre of it all on the red carpet at last night's 9th Annual Spring Dinner Dance New Year's In April: A Fool's Fete at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel, New York. Not only has she shrunk a little bit more, she's gone blonde!

Crystal shocked everyone when she premièred her platinum do and matching eyebrows at the glamourous, model-studded event in New York. She looks amazing and sure knows how to make sure people are talking about her. I like the dress, but not sold on the olive colour with the blonde hair, this dress would have worked much better with her raven hair.

Trying to get some red carpet focus away from Crystal Renn were my red carpet favorites, Coco Rocha, Erin Heatherton, Jessica White, Katie Lee and Nicole Trunfi. Coco looked like a beautiful water nymph, Erin looked stunning in art deco style canary yellow, and Nicole Trunfio had a modern day Marilyn moment in her white dress.
