FashionEaster Easter Eggs

In case you haven't noticed, it's Easter this weekend. And as well as a 4 day weekend *air punch*, it's also the perfect excuse to consume your body weight in chocolate. But if you're after more than just chocolate this year then why not try one of these artisan eggs that are as beautiful as they are delicious - perfect for all the FashionEaster out there. Sorry, had to.

My favourite one has to be the Selfridges' Booja-Booja organic Easter egg (pictured top). The hand painted decorative shell will look beautiful long after you've devoured the hazelnut chocolates inside making this a little bit special.

Speaking of gorgeous packaging, I'm just crazy for the monochrome, zoetrope-esque Fortified Easter Collection from Hotel Chocolat. Matching one of spring/summer's hottest trends, this black and white mega collection of boozy chocolates will make anyone smile. And order before 6pm today for guaranteed Easter delivery!

Last but not least is this work-of-art hand decorated Easter egg from Fortnum & Mason which has beautiful flowers hand painted onto the gorgeous milk chocolate egg. You can even watch a video about how Fortnum & Mason make their artisan Easter eggs.

Superdry Nails Beauty: New Make-up and Accessories

Last month Superdry expanded into the realms of beauty, with a gorgeous array of bold colours for your face and your nails. I was lucky enough to get an early glimpse of the collection at the Handpicked Media Blogger Suite during London Fashion Week and was immediately taken by the rich, glossy colours and inventive packaging.

I was sent some nail polish and lipstick to try out and I've got to admit they're really, really good. I love a stand-out lipstick and the lovely Melissa at Superdry didn't disappoint when she sent me the 'Electric Pink' lip paint to test. It goes on more like a lipbalm/gloss and is so silky smooth and glossy you awesome it won't stay on. But I was wrong! This lip paint has staying power without the dryness you can get with high pigment, long lasting colour.

I recently wore it on a night out and only had to reapply once, despite testing it *fully* by eating and drinking quite a bit. Ok, a lot! So now I've pretty much been wearing it daily. For a more 'just bitten' daytime look I've taken to applying a smudge in the centre of my upper and lower lip and blending with my finger. This also has amazing staying power and last well past lunch.

The whole Superdry cosmetic range is available here and retails at between £2-20. Will you give the Superdry lip paint a go?

I've been doing a lot more beauty recently - do you like it or are you sick of my face?

'Libertine' by Giles Deacon for QVC Jewellery

What's your opinion of QVC? Do you think of it as high fashion, with covetable items? Well you will now. QVC has teamed up with with iconic British fashion designer, Giles, Deacon, to create a capsule collection of edgy, statement jewellery entitled 'Libertine'. I was invited to an exclusive first look at the collection at The Ivy to view the dainty yet powerful jewellery.

The collection is a mix of gold tones, embellished with Swarovski sparkle and enamel colour pops, featuring scorpions, seahorses and thorns. The collection includes bracelets, necklaces, rings and earrings with prices ranging from £14.00 to £70.00; meaning you can have high fashion for a fraction of the cost. I completely fell for the scorpion pendant necklace, and at only £35 is a complete style steal.

“The Giles Libertine jewellery collection is a mix of Edwardian eccentricity with punk attitude. In the "garden collection" which is beautiful golden thorns wrapping their way around enamel crystallised twisted bugs, or the "golden scorpion" collection with feather details – ‘Scorpy and the danglers’; also revisiting some of our favourite characters Eek mouse makes a return with a disco twist, as well as some figures developed from illustrations of fashion icons from the 30's till now.

I am delighted to be launching the Libertine collection in collaboration with QVC, and to become part of their history of designer collaborations. The new jewellery line has been designed with QVC’s ever growing customer base in mind” - Giles Deacon

Don’t miss this exciting new Giles Deacon collection which is available at QVC now.

Milan Fashion Week - Covetable Coats at Prada

I haven't done much blogging about fashion weeks other than London Fashion Week this season, but I just had to write a post about the Prada show. I've fallen in lust with the stunning coats on display at Prada for A/W 2013; 50s silhouettes with a slight dragged-through-a-hedge-after-a-night-out-in-East-London vibe.

I really loved the collection as a whole, right down to the clunky shoes and oversized bowling clutch bags, but it was the coats that got me. I'm a sucker for a full skirted coat and there were so many to choose from. Throw in a mix of natural wools, pastel plaids and luxe leather and you've got a Autumn/Winter coat for every look and occasion.

Oh so chic, but also fresh thanks to the grungy overall look, I'll definitely be searching for a blue or pink plaid coat next season and teaming it with a wide metallic belt.

Have any of these coats caught your eye too?
